The Suburban Ultimate Frisbee group is currently going full swing! We're hoping to have a Saturday and a Sunday game, as well as a weekday game.
ATTENTION BEGINNERS:
We will be scheduling "workshop" days where you can show up 45 minutes prior to a game and learn the essentials of a solid throw, and how the game works. These days will also be geared toward learning and implementing your new skills.
Also, I want to reiterate that we are a pick-up game. We DO NOT KEEP SCORE of games, therefore, you don't have to be worried about letting your team down. This is a great way to get outside, get in a good amount of running, and to meet new friends.
Games are NOW regular, pending the weather. If the meetup is cancelled, you will receive an email the day before.
All ages and ability levels are welcome ~ we really mean this. In the past, our youngest player was 14, our oldest 66 (not that we asked). We have a group of guys that play multiple times a week on their lunch break and then we have new players come who we teach to play on the field. Some of us are in really good physical shape - others get winded after a few runs up the field. It is a great time and you will fit right in!
The most important thing - this is a pickup game. So don't bother trying to be overly competitive. We enjoy learning strategy, playing a good game, and getting in a workout - but we are mainly out here to play and have fun. If you want more than that, join a league! :-) Check out the rules on the "about us" page http://ultimatefrisbee.meetup.com/166/about/![]()
The games basically run themselves. So when you come, just jump in. Everyone is really friendly.

We will meet at Busse Woods just East of 53/290 on Higgins Rd. Entrance is on the South side of Higgins Rd. - first entrance just east of 53/290.
There are two fields we use. To get to the first one, after you enter, make the first left, and you should see us on the left side. If no one is there, continue further into the forest preserve. About 3/4 of a mile in, you will get to Grove 20 on the right side. Read more
