The Washington Ultimate Frisbee Meetup Group“ Good legsnlungs go far in ultimate. Add good disk handling and basic common sense. novice can get right in there and have a good time. By the same token, I can imagine some being intimidated by, if nothing else, the fact that everyone was wearing cleats. So the level of play is definitely a few steps above casual. These were in fact intense, fast-paced games. (My feet, knees, thighs and glutes have been screaming at me.) And I understand there were some league players in attendance - whatever the case, the level of play was high. So, if you're in reasonable running shape with good disk handling skills, you'll have a good time. I found the advanced players very tolerant and forgiving when I failed to stick to my man (man to man defense). Novices and junior players (i count myself one) should definitely attend, but it might be advantageous to organize parallel games or self-select by skill level. excellent meet-up group.
